This course will introduce the concept of a contemporary computer-based production planning and execution system. It will focus on general structures of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and how different parts of the organisation may benefit from a centralised system.
In this course you will learn how ERP is used in manufacturing organisations and how an ERP software is structured. You will get to know the basic user interface and the business logic in an ERP package. Furthermore, you will be able to understand the basic production planning process and to apply information stored in ERP for business analysis.
